Many of my earlier paintings plumb symmetry and explore the human figure without being openly figurative. Another recurring element is the point of life –the temporal point, the spatial point and the What? point.

Another is that thing between – the table, the collar, the door, the surface of the earth.

This is also about fruit, forbidden fruit, fertility and the exuberance of life.

Not to mention that this painting is a painting over a painting over another painting.

This painting moves very close to the drawings. It is acrylic on canvas. Someone remarked that it reminded them of the work of Morris Graves. It also reminds me of the time just before dark when colors are intense but all is less distinct.
